So, endlich habe ich die Zeit, über meine FO’s zu schreiben!

Das war mein erstes Projekt von Knitty und ich muss sagen, ich hatte einige Male zu kämpfen! Ich hatte schon mehrere Sachen von amerikanischen Sites gestrickt, bin also eigentlich deren Stricksprache gewohnt, aber hier fand ich, es sei teilweise schon arg knapp ausgefallen.
Daher machte ich während des Strickens einige gewollte und ungewollte Änderungen. Vor allem bei den Ärmeln war mir nicht immer klar, wohin auf der Chart als nächstes zu gehen, da sind sicherlich einige Abweichungen. Auch die komische Verzopfung in der Mitte habe ich in eine „normale“ abgewandelt. Dann führte ich den Zopf weiter bis zum Kragen, da mir der plötzliche Abschluss nicht gefiel.
Am meisten zu kämpfen hatte ich mit der Raglanschräge. Irgendwie verstand ich das nicht so ganz und machte einfach so weiter, wie es mir gut schien. Hat gepasst.
Den Kragen habe ich in einen Stehkragen 2re 2li abgewandelt. Das gefällt mir viel besser als die Kappe und ich habe auch gerne einen warmen Hals.
Im grossen Ganzen ist Mariah recht gut herausgekommen, das einzige was stört, ist das Wellen des Reisverschlusses. Irgendwie ist alles wohl etwas zu lange geworden und hat zu viel „Material“.
Aber es ist eine warme und doch leichte Jacke mit einem wirklich schönen Armzopf.

This was my first project from knitty and I have to admit, I had to struggle several times! I already did knit other things with american instructions and should be used to it, but this time it seemed to be really rudimental.
That’s why I did some wanted and unwanted changes during my knitting. Especially when doing the arms it wasn’t that clear for me where to continue on the chart several times. Like the strange cable in the middle of it, I changed it to a “normal” one. And I continued with the cables up to the collar as I didn’t like the abrupt ending of it.
But the worst part was the yoke. Somehow I didn’t understand the instruction, it was way to short. That’s why I just continued to the right lenght and it now fits perfectly. The hoodie wasn’t really what I looked for and now it’s a regular 2st 2p collar. I like that much better and I love it cozy and warm around my neck.
After all, Mariah is very nice, the only thing I don’t like are the „waves“ of the front part. Somehow it’s a little to long for me and therefore it has too much “material” there.
But it’s a warm and nevertheless lightweight jacket with a really nice cabling on the arms.
